In 1994 CEILIDH (pronounced Kailey) received a $100,000 refit. Her
hull was taken to bare wood and completely reglassed. New covering
boards, windows, electronics, paint, all hardware was rechromed,
A/C, refrigerator, furnishings and appliances were added. The tanks
were cleaned and inspected at this time. Topsides were painted in
March of 1997.
A complete engine and generator overhaul was
completed in July 1999. All engine and generator components were
replaced with new OEM parts except engine block (cylinder pressures
all within specified tolerance levels) 7 heat exchangers (which were
checked and tested). Exhaust manifolds were replaced with after
market units because on unavailability of OEM parts. New components
include: Fuel pumps, raw water pumps, circulation pumps, starter
motors, risers, exhaust manifolds, all hoses, belts, pulleys,
switches , gaskets, etc.. Points ignition system upgraded to new
electronic system on both engines. All other boat systems were also
tested/tuned/cleaned, etc July 1999.
CEILIDH was owned by one family from 1959-1993. She
has been completely restored and updated. She is one of only two 36'
Expresses made. Her previous owner has lovingly maintained her to
perfection. CEILIDH must be seen to be appreciated. Don't miss this
